Do Wasps Make Honey?

Most of the wasps do not make honey.

Similar to bees, wasps also drink nectar from flowers but don’t convert it into honey. Sometimes, they even steal honey from beehives.

They mostly feed on larvae and small insects.

Honeybees store food in the form of honey in their beehives for the winter when the blooming flowers are less available. While wasps do not store food, they feed on other small insects all year round.

Few wasps such as Mexican honey wasp do make honey.
